Re: How To: Configure GPS
I had some trouble initially with Juicy's 2.5 because of AGPS being enabled. Since disabling it, I've had no GPS problems. You can use Advanced Config to turn it off. (I just made a cab for that and my other reg tweaks).

Re: How To: Configure GPS
I tried out the Tomtom7 download with the registry entries on the first post in this thread and noticed it fudged up the gps on my Sprint Diamond. I did a hard reset and now the gps is working fine again. Is there a link to download Tomtom7 without the registry changes?

Re: How To: Configure GPS
fyi, ur cab only has the telus ip in it. and only the telus ip in qpst. here is a list of other carriers pde server's ip.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36377#2 sprint users will most likely need this info. |

use the values for your carrier for each. his post only has telus pde server, which is a trusted server, so any phone can use it without authentication. but because sprint and metro PCS need the PDE server to do the location calculation you will want to use your respective carrier. trusted servers usually use port 8888 or 8889. do everything the 1st post says to do, until u get to that part where u enter the pde IP and PORT into qpst and the Registry. then use the pde IP and PORT from the link above to enter your carriers PDE IP and PORT. |
