Diamond GPS @ Telus users

Can you guys flash maps on the to the phone like tomtom,garmin.. w/e does that work? or do you use the gps program from telus?? (if telus has one)

also another question do you have to buy some sort of receiver for the phone, like a external GPS or is it inside and it finds satellites for you, i have the instinct and it uses some stupid telenav stuff i just want a real gps that updates quickly not this slow instinct telenav bs

In general the Telus Diamond is not very locked down at all. All the phones features appear to be enabled and are accessible by 3rd party applications. The only thing it does not have (in true Telus form) is MMS messaging support.

wonder if we can piggy back on sprint MMS service like i used OT with my telus Treo 700WX
