I remember a few people talking about getting announcements weeks after the actual release.
I thought it was interesting that I received this just before noon today.

Thought I'd share this with all here. I manage a large Sprint account (3,500+) lines for my company and we are constantly ordering phones. We received this from our Regional Support Rep today. I have my Diamond on order through my business rep but have no idea when I am going to get it.

Hurricane Ike storms and winds have knocked out power to the UPS/Sprint warehouse in Louisville, KY. The building has very limited power therefore the warehouse is anticipating that at least 50% of all orders will not be fulfilled today. There is currently no estimated time of power restoration.

I hope they are in stores because my store told me to wait until they came out to exchange my POS Treo 800w (my third one). It constantly shuts down (even during my call with telesales) and I need a new phone now. At least I got them to put in writing that I could exchange the Treo POS after the 30 day exchange period if I would wait for Diamond

You all may already know but this was new to me. I'm not sure where to post it either but with everyone just buying the Diamond I figured I would put it here. I had a validation hold on my order because i'm having it shipped to a different address than on the account. I could not remember my pin so I was transfered to customer care to change my pin. Asked him some questions about some new iden's coming out next month because i'm going to have to chang my plan to go to sprint to get the PRO. So I told him my plan and how I was holding out for the PRO and he says "Oh your 3 lines are available for a $70 credit" I said how's that? I've never heard of that.
He said "If your out of contract and order new phones and/or RENEW YOUR CONTRACT and then call customer care you are eligble for a $70 credit per LINE." He said you have to call customer care, telesales can't do it and online orders don't show or offer it. I was exstactic I got $210 credit to my account so another $80 and i'll have my PRO when it comes out.

Yeah, but doesn't that credit go towards bill payment?

Forget the stores and just order them through telesales or online. I just ordered 4 from my Sprint rep with FedEx Overnight shipping.

If you want it bad enough, you can get it, believe me.

He didn't say, doesn't matter to me! LOL. I'll just take the money I had allocated for the bill and buy the Pro. I'll know when my order for a katana gets processed and see if it is absorbed by the credit or if it is still outstanding.

They aren't. Most stores don't even have an active demo.
