Re: Second camera in the Diamond

As said before, it is a light sensor, there is no second camera in the CDMA Diamond (also said before because of the lack of Video Calling support). As for your "light sensing scroll wheel" all you did was activate the capacitive touch sensors on the bottom, basically telling the phone that you're touching it, so they lit up:P.

then mine is busted lol great, it does absolutely nothing for me. its enabled in the settings i go to a call and it doesn't make a difference if i cover it up or not. the screen still dims in the same length of time.

Even without being in a call, if I've got my Diamond on and hold it under a bright light (i.e. daylight), the backlight will increase. If I put my finger over the sensor, it will dim. You do have yours set to "Auto Adjust Backlight"? Settings->System->Power->Backlight. It works great on mine. I can use my Diamond to read in the dark at night, and then the next day and have to use it in full daylight, it automatically compensates. Works much better than my old Touch.

yes its enabled, my light sensor is still unresponsive when i put my thumb over it. and during a call it makes no difference to cover the sensor or not.
