Sprint Diamond or wait for Android

I wish we had a poll feature on the forum. Anyway what do you guys think, I'm dying to get a new phone, been stuck with the Mogul since it came out, Diamond looks awesome but then again its still windows mobile and from everything I've seen about Android, I WANT IT!

Re: Sprint Diamond or wait for Android

Android is already being tested on the mogul and touch, as soon as theres a flashable version it'll on most of the current or near current winmo phones, diamond included. Have a little faith.

Re: Sprint Diamond or wait for Android

At this time an Android phone made by HTC is planned for T-Mobile release in the last quarter. Hopefully a CDMA version for Sprint will follow closely. I'll hold onto my Touch until there is definitive word that the CDMA version will be much later.

There is a poll feature. When you press 'New Thread' there are options right above the 'Submit New Thread' button

actually there is a poll feature, when you start a new thread all the way down the page you will have the option to add a poll (up to 10 options)

for the phone thing, I think the touch will be a very good phone from what I read of the leaked manual, it looks like sprint covered most of the things we complained about, and added MMS ... etc.

so I would say touch it is, plus the 3G for t-mobile is still in the roll out phase.

Re: Sprint Diamond or wait for Android

I got my mogul and may and now regret it. But im sure once android is out in full force some ROMS will pop up for it. There are already a good source of nice little apps out there for android so i will definately be patient for it. Until then im running WM5 rom for stability and RAM usage

Re: Sprint Diamond or wait for Android

I wanted a Diamond, until I saw the Touch Pro. The slide out keyboard is what got me into the PDA phone scene in the first place. Android is pretty sweet, but I really don't want to wait that long. Plus I don't think my LCD screen in my Apache will LET me wait that long.
