Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

I usually only get 3 rings before VM kicks in. The touch pad will light up a couple times before it rings but the phone wont ring, and people usually tell me it rang 6-8 times..

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Hi,

I apologize up front if this has been covered. I did some search, but with two little kids, I just don't have time to go through everything on scrolling.

Anyway, my question is are there any tweaks or application that will turn scrolling wheel to actually scroll instead of zoom in and out in all MS applications. (word, excel, email, etc.) It will make the use of MS apps more user friendly. I know Diamond tweak and advance config has similar tweaks to enable scrolling, but not what I am looking for.

Thanks alot for any pointers.
RJ

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Hi

I've been reading this site for a while, and was ready to start unlocking and flashing some new ROMs on this baby.

Well, I dropped the phone today (from about 3 feet), and now the screen won't turn on. The phone itself still works, as I can make and receive calls by blindly tapping the screen untill something works...which is a good sign i guess.

It is a software thing? If the touchcreen responds fine, but does not display, what could cause this (well, I mean, the drop did)? Is something loose? I tried the soft/hard resets, but as the phone still isn't displaying anything, I have no idea if it worked, or even did it right, or...well...what the hell is going on.

I'm past the warranty period, and don't want to spend $200 with telus to get it fixed.
And help would be great. Seriously...I love the phone, and have babied it.

What the hell, one small drop and its f'd.

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Soo, you're mad that you dropped a $500 phone, it doesn't work and you'll have to pay to get it fixed? hmm....

Anyways, if it's not visibly damaged, I'd take it to a telus corp store if you're in the east, or wherever you bought it in the west, and get an advanced swap replacement for your "strangely not working screen". Other then that... replacement data units are only $100.

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

well, not much I can do other than that....hopefully, that $100 rings true, and I don't have to spend a load of dough.

Hopefully, this'll "learn" everybody else around here: get a rubber body protector.
Anyone know when the Touch Pro comes out in Canada?

Thanks Tobeychris

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Hi all,

Its been a while since I wrote here, been busy I guess!

I have sort of a problem. I received a letter from telus not so long ago telling me to do a system update (for the roaming service) and ever since Im having a hell of a time to get any GPS signal...

The only way I get it to work is to use the HTC GPS Tool, get the signal for cold and warm start and then go to Gglmaps! This is way too long and is kinda getting on my nerve!!!

Do you have a solution?? Do you think that the roaming update screwed up my GPS setings??

And another thing, do someone knows how to get the Opera browser to run smoothly in landscape mode?? 9 times out of 10 it minimizes to the tchflo and if I go back to it, it starts using way too much processor that the phone almost seem to be crashed!

Any help on these 2 things will be welcome
