The FM Radio antenna isn’t actually in the Touch Diamond, it’s in the headphones. Unfortunately, this means that you must plug in your headphones into your Diamond to listen to the radio. Never fear, by touching the headphone icon on the FM Radio program shown below, you can toggle between using the device speakers and the headphones, but you still will have the headphones dangling out of the ExtUSB port.

Are you sure the fm radio chip is on the antenna? I would think the actual chip would be on phone and perhaps the reception wire in the headphone set.

honestly, i dont know for sure. the info i know is from reading all these different articles. the article is based on reviews of the gsm model. dont know if it will apply to cdma.

I've got the CDMA Touch Diamond (Telus Canada), and there's no software or mention in the manual of the FM Radio. I think we're out of luck on that.

I think I phoned 6 places, got the "Next week" reply from all of them. Stopped by 2 places in the mall before supper (about 5), got the same response. Stopped by one other place in the mall after supper, they'd just got the order in "5 minutes ago", and the only reason I got one was because someone who had their name down on one turned it down. What a Mickey Mouse launch... Even the day of the release, nobody at Telus or the stores knew it when it was going to be available.

Anyway, I got one, I'm happy, and it's fun to play with. All water under the bridge, and all that... Although I still need to phone LnR to get my plan switched over, and I might chose to vent a little on the launch fiasco to see if that buys me anything.
