Re: Touch Diamond Review....

yeah, stock roms usually suck ballz anyways. once we get it, well be able to build custom roms and such off of it, and it will be an amazing device

problem is, once you turn it all off all you then have is a touch in a new case. the interface is one of the major reasons of getting it.

That's a bit exaggerated.

You still have a vastly upgraded device than the Touch - memory aside, wouldn't it be nice just to be able to scroll something without watching the device slow to a crawl?!

Anyway... folks at XDA have custom ROMs that have more than fixed the lag from what I've heard... I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Touch Diamond Review....

well i think ive seen the processor is 524mhz, is this just an overclocked version of ours? Ive seen my Touch hit 520mhz (or 624mhz if you want to go that high) via overclocking so it seems a little weird that this processor is so close to ours.

You can't overclock MSM7xxx series chips yet...

Any program that *says* its overclocked is incorrect. The multiplier isn't even correct... 400MHz doesn't scale to 624... it would scale to 600.

To answer your question though - the processor in this is much improved from the ones we have now. Its 128MHz faster and the device actually has drivers to make use of *everything* the chip offers...
