Old HTC Diamond CDMA and android? Turn into skypephone.

Hi, I have this old HTC diamond CDMA phone.
It sits pretty useless now, but I had this Idea of turning it into WiFi skypephone?
I've heard that you can put Android on the Diamond, and from there it should be easy.
Anybody's familiar with the procedure?
Also any suggestions as to which android rom for CDMA Diamond to use?
Preferably I'd like to disable all radio (cellular and BT) except WiFi and just run the Skype client on it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

i dont know if the Android port for the Diamond is good enough to run Skype. Certainly its easy enough to try. In general I dont consider the port ready for primetime.

OTOH why not just run the Skype app for WM? it works fine on the Diamond, as Ive used it.
