i don't see anything special in windows 7, to be honest. interface aside, its smoothness is plenty years too late. its a mixture of slightly larger iphone-like buttons and a panoramic background. as always, it's a windows phone, caught glimpses of lag, and overall sluggish performance. i mean, its miles away from what windows mobile is now, but when this zune phone will hit the market, iphone 4gs will leave it in the dust, where it belongs. aesthetically it is pretty clean, and sharp. it appealed to me, but i don't see this as a competitive platform. winmo 7 is not due anytime soon. apple is not even thinking of screwing up the iphone, palm will probably have solid webos devices out within this year, and blackberry is still the preffered messenger. the new platform kind of deviates from its faithful HTC host. i don't see manila fitting into all this. looks more like LG will start mass manufacturing winmo7 smartphones. oh and once google goggles hit on android, i don't see anything special winmo7 has to offer. it crawls around social networks updating pics? nice. battery life? crap? i know i am kind of harsh, but its just my impression of the thing. maybe i am also pretty bitter after a year with winmo6.x.x with 2 more to go. lol, the ending to the demo is nice. "and lets see the dialer.... oh standard dialer. this is it? yep standard plain dialer." lol
