my beautiful screen

Ok well today while trying to help my neighbor catch her dog, my lovely diamond came out out of my coat and became very well acquainted with the pavement. The real tragedy of this is that i had taken my screen protector off to replace it with a new one. The digitizer got gouged bad enough that a new screen protector wont go on without bubbling. So here is my question. If i buy a screen/digitizer set on ebay how difficult is it to replace. I have rehoused vogues, repaired psps, nintendo dsis, ipaqs, etc. so I am familiar with small electronics. In my searches i keep seeing mention of soldering, one thing im not so great with. Is it really necissary for the change?

I am stunned at the lack of repair info on the cdma diamond.

Re: my beautiful screen

the diamonds/TPs arent as easy to repair. Ive taken a TP apart. Im still amazed at how much work is involved. The diamond isnt as hard as the TP but still isnt fun to do. vouges and the others are much simpler to work on. the diamonds also have so much of that sticky junk that usually youll want to get new strips of "tape" (if you want to call it that) that hold alot of the device together. i dont doubt you but its just not a walk in the park like the devices youve mentioned.
