Issue with EzInput 2.1, anyone know what to do?

So I am enamored with the Manilla TV project and as such keep going back to using PMD's great new ROM. The one thing that really drives me nuts though is the keyboards available in it. I kept switching between OMJ's 6.5.3 Sense 2.5 28014 ROM and the 6.5.3 Sense 2.5 28014 ROM from PMD. Today I realized I should probably just load the great keyboard that OMJ includes (EzInput 2.1) onto the PMD Manilla TV ROM and get the best of both worlds. I figured that it "should" work as PMD makes his ROM in OMJ's kitchen so away I went. Reflashed back to stock, reflashed PMD's latest, installed the CAB for EzInput 2.1 and soft reset my phone. It comes up great and I can use my new keyboard fine but when you navigate to the text tab the screen turns black and you can not see nor interact with anything in it. I can open the keyboard and close it fine but I can't do anything with a text...

Is this something that has been covered before?, maybe a simple fix is floating around somewhere? All help would be greatly appriciated.

KJ ... sip's are always somewhat problematic when added after flashing. They usually break something ... just as you described. Your best bet for success is to build your own rom in OMJ's kitchen and have it just the way you want it. It's not that difficult, and there are several of us who will help if you get stuck. Go for it ...

Thanks for the info, I was really hoping that this would work lol

I have been making my own versions of OMJ's ROM for a while now and I really like it, I honestly never would have stopped if it wasnt for the great functionality of Manilla TV on PMD's ROM. Maybe I can convince him to make a version with EzInput included, it is already in the kitchen and all

I hear you ... maybe he'll cook up a custom rom for you ... should only take a couple of minutes, since he already has the template set up. Actually, it will take him longer to upload it. Sip's really do better when cooked into the rom, except for Finger KB, which seems to work fine, either way.

Tell me about it! Takes me an hour to upload these things! I'm a fan of instant gradification, so that's the part I hate about posting public roms.

I did add 2.1 to the latest build though for anyone else who may have been wondering.
