Trouble with radio on Diamond

Hi Guys,

Have just put my Touch Diamond (CDMA) handset on Reliance India but am unable to send sms. Currently, I am on 1.08 radio. On some suggestion i switched to Sprint 1.11 F.. radio. But it shows no service. Then I changed the ROM to MR4 but still shows no service.
So again re-loaded the same 1.08 radio and as usual voice works.

Am i going wrong somewhere, can experts on the forum provide suggestions.

have you ever been able to use the phone. does the company provide cdma services? just curious because I have never heard of cdma outside of north and south america.

As i have mentioned, I was able to use it on 1.08 radio when i unlocked it for making it work with my service provider in India. Reliance Mobile is the largest CDMA service provider in India with over 10+ million subscribers.

Anyways can anyone help with this problem

The radio you picked just may not work well for you where you are at. There are several other radios. Unfortunately, there isn't much science to is aside from trying them all until you find the one that works best.

As for the SMS, that is probably not a radio issue but a software one. You will need to verify the sms settings for your carrier and make the proper adjustments. Unfortunately, I cannot be more specific than that other than to say it's in the settings.

Hi Guys,

Yesterday I tried all different radios for my Touch Diamond but all showed no service except for 1.08.99.

Can anyone tell me why is this happening. Any solution for the same as with 1.08.99 radio one can only activate voice while text & data services dont get activated.

Guys need urgent help

I was having problems like yours for months trying different things. But sadly i never got it to work. Finally just did an insurance claim and got a new phone. Been working since. Think i probably dropped it to many times.
