Try taking the battery out for 10+ minutes, and then try to start phone.
If that doesn't work then this is what I think:
I did a little research, and it looks as if you have bricked your phone.
1) was your phone previously unlocked? (It must have been, you had a custom rom, right?)
2) is your device/carrier GSM? (I think this is yes, but I'm not positive)
If you answered "YES" to both these questions, then your device is almost surely bricked. Normally you would not be able to do this, but if your phone is unlocked, and you try to flash the wrong hspl, (either wrong device, or wrong radio,ie GSM/CDMA) it will kill it.
I am sorry to have to tell you this, but at least now you have an excuse to upgrade!!
