Sprint Touch Diamond 2

So i have heard very minimal information about whether this phone will be released on Sprint. I am getting the TP2 which should be out early next month, but my girlfriend has the touch diamond and would love the TD2. I think this will be a good place to keep track of any information we may have on this phone. Hopefully sprint is releasing it and there just hasn't been any leaked info yet. The FCC just approved it but it looks like the verizon version. Last year they sprint released the diamond first an then the pro about a month later. Hopefully they do the same thing and release the TP2 first and the the TD2 later. Keep the info coming

I know, any info and details are sketchy at best. The only hints i've found are at wmpoweruser.com. From what I've gathered the whitestone maybe the D2 and will be carried by verizon, no info for a sprint D2 that i've seen yet.

Sprint will be very dumb if they don't carry the TD2. I like keyboards myself but there are people out there my girlfriend included qho like touch only phones. They need to have both versions of the windows phone to get both crowds.

According to PhoneArena, Sprint will be getting that phone. No release date on either the Verizon or Sprint version.

Phonearena isn't always spot on. Is Whitestone exclusive to Verizon, or is it the CDMA version for all compatible carriers? I guess that's the burning question. Will Sprint get Topaz or Whitestone?

That's a good question. According to the conflipper phone database, which is setup on another thread on this forum (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=74416), sprint had a topaz model name (topaz#c-r2). Verizon doesn't have a topaz model on that post. So, sprint will possibly be getting the 3.2" screen. But it doesn't really make sense to make two different cdma versions of the diamond. But, anything is possible.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2

I don't think sprint will carry the TD2, From what I read is its being replaced with the hero. There was a very low demand for the sprint Diamond

Was there low demand for the diamond because of the lack of a keyboard, or the lack of expandable storage? I think it's the latter. Should I have been in the market for a diamond or a tp, I would have chosen the tp, due to the sd card slot.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2

Someone let me know if Sprint will be getting the 3.6" screen or the 3.2" screen. The onscreen keyboard, not to mention multimedia, is much more enjoyable on a 3.6" screen. It will finally be an iphone competitor on Sprint.

Unfortunately, we may not know until it's released, or sprint branded spy shots pop up on the interweb. Above, you can see my reference to sprint will possibly be getting the topaz, which is the 3.2" screen.
