no usb conection

running open source desire , was working fine ,but after over air update (i know my wife ran it) it failed and i thought it booted back as it was before ,but now when i plug to pc all i get is charging on phone and usb device not regcognized.tried different pc's all 3 with htc drivers same on all of them,tested cable also ,cable and pc work fine with desire HD .Is this a common problem or is it actually my hardware that failed ,if that is the case how can i go back to telus shipped rom from my sd ..thanks in advance

First of all every time i flash a rom or plug in a new replacement phone my windows 7 pc always has to reinstall the "new" device drivers so that may be your issue.

restart your pc

uninstall previous device drivers in Device Manager

then plugin your phone again if that doesnt work post and well try something else
