US Cell root issues, about to give up...

I've been at this for hours now, and I'm about to give up.I've tried every combination of solutions I can find online, uninstalling, reinstalling, different versions of HTC Sync, clearing all the data, Windows 7 and Windows XP, everything, but I just keep getting errors. Usually it's Internal Error:failed to unlock NAND flash. But after switching back to a windows 7 machine from an XP, I got one asking if my firmware was too new. I found one thread where two people were saying that because I have hboot 1.06, that Unrevoked 3 won't work, and currently the only work around is to use a temp root.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've searched on my own for too long for today.

Thanks in advance to anyone that could possibly help...

To add, Everything seems to go good, the phone reboots into hboot once, then when it says Waiting for system to settle, it boots normal, not into hboot.

Yeah, I had to take the battery out to get out of the hboot. Have you had any luck with yours yet? I just gave up for a bit, but wanted to check to see if anyone was successful yet...
