Desire Root question...

Just want to make sure I'm not missing something. I'm new to Android and don't want to mess anything up. I just downloaded the reflash package from unrevoked, and it's just a .exe file. It also says to install hBoot drivers. Is it really that simple? Just uninstall HTC Sync, install the hBoot drivers, hook up and run the exe? I remember looking about a month ago when I first got the phone, and just remembered there being more to it. If that's it, this would be great!!!

Re: Desire Root question...

Okay, so I went ahead and gave this a try. I'm having a couple issues though. When I boot phone into hboot, I don't see the hboot usb option that I'm supposed to select. I did just plug the phone into the usb, and got the "hboot usb plug" to show up. Drivers seemed to load just fine. after I unplug and plug back in, unrevoked 3 picks up the phone just fine and starts to run. When it says Rebotting, this may take a few minutes, the phone powers off and boot like normal, not into hboot. It sits there for a few more seconds, then I get Internal error: failed to unlock NAND flash.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Re: Desire Root question...

Ok, new update. I found a thread that says Unrevoked won't work with hboot 1.06. The only work around that I see so far is to temp root. Is there another solution that anyone knows of? I've been at this for hours now...
