Will someone be releasing a how to root and a 2.2 ROM for the USCC Desire?

I will be picking mine up tomorrow morning and I would really like 2.2 for the better exchange support.

THe USC Desire is 2.1 with Hboot .98,

got mine yesterday morning. Being a us cellular agent does have some benefits as the initial quantities of these are very limited so i grabbed one right away.

Am dying to mod this thing to uninstall some of the stupid crap us cellular puts on here like their stupid city id.

I was able to clear the data from the city ID app and now it doesnt seem to pop up anymore. Why we can't uninstall a program that is a trial is retarded. I want your navigator, my contacts backup, tone room deluxe and city ID GONE! Just have not had time to mess with stuff yet. Hopefully things slow down at work tonight so I have time to play.

You guys need to be rooted and s-off inorder to read write nand.

Right now there is no root method for the USCC desire.

there i a MFG hboot for a vzw desire
it could brick tho some one has to be pretty brave to try it
