Re: TM-Wing Full Memory
True, but it doesn't tell you if it is installed on local or Storage memory (aka Sd card).
There seems to be alloted space for installed programs and some for main memory. When you install 3rd party apps you may have the option to install on storage card. Even though it is installed there it may still take some space up on the device memory as well. PLUS: IE likes to cache websites on its memory. I found a way to cache on storage card, but none of these tips/hacks are enough. From my understanding, the Wing likes to allot 8MB of space for what ever reason while it is booting up. By the way. I am ONLY running Active Sync and I only have 2 MB of memory left. When you navigate to "Remove Programs" it does not say where these apps are installed. When you take 2MB pics (or video) it goes to local memory by default. I have to cut and paste into sd card. My card has plenty of space (1GB card with over 750MB free) |

Re: TM-Wing Full Memory
You can have the camera software allocate to the storage card if you didn't know that. Do you have the latest rom update from t-mobile? once I reflash my rom I had more free space.

Re: TM-Wing Full Memory
Honestly...the best thing for the wing is a custom rom...xda has tons that will make you love this phone...the first time i turned mine on i didn't have enought memory to run the camera. If you are unsure about flashing i'd suggest a soft reset once a day. It seemed to help when i was running the stock rom

Do you do the "clear storage" thing and then restore?
