Backlight

I have a T-Mobile Wing. The only problem is that for some reason, when the device screen is off (pressed the power button), every 5-10 minutes, it turns back on by itself. How can I stop that from happening?

Re: Backlight

Are you logged into anything that might be refreshing itself, like a messenger program or something like that. That's really the only thing I can think of right now.

Re: Backlight

start, settings ... lock device.

make sure its set so that only the power button turns it back on... if not, any of the soft keys will active the phone

Re: Backlight

You're over here, too, Duprade? Anyway, I second LisaM's suggestion. The only time the Wing comes out of sleep mode is when you're about to get an MMS/SMS message or phone call or something like that.

Re: Backlight

sometimes i don't run anything and the screen just lights up. this past week, it was in my holster and w/o knowing it called my bro til he came over to me and ask me what i wanted. i'm starting to lock my device now. on occasions, i use the jivetalk beta and i don't think that has anything to do with it does it?
