Re: Converting iTunes to zume
i'm hoping someone has an easier way also, all of my mp3s from rhapsody and bearshare had to be burned to a cd, then ripped before zune would store them.

Re: Converting iTunes to zume
there's a program that converts files from .mp3 to wma format called Microsoft windows media encoder, download that and then set the converted files to go into a different folder then set Zune to only look at that folder in options. all my songs that I downloaded from limewire and ripped from CDs I made in HS all transferred without a hitch. to convert without losing information and to avoid compression artifacts u can convert to .wav first then to .wma.

Re: Converting iTunes to zume
I use the Windows Phone Connector for Mac and it transferred all of my playlists. I think there was some DRM content that wasn't transferred though.
The PC equivalent should be the Zune software, Zune doesn't carry over the playlists? I had to select 'transfer all music' AND check off the playlists I wanted to sync, maybe try that.

Re: Converting iTunes to zume
Finally figured it out. There is a third party app that creates playlist from iTunes and makes them Zune software compatible. It worked great. I had 75 playlists.
Now I can dump the apple iPod and the android. The windows phone is better. |
