Sprint said NO sd card?

While picking up an Arrive today, the Sprint rep said that w/the cloud service offered that the 16g memory was internal "like the Iphone" and that there was NO card buried in the phone. Just curious if anyone else was told this? First I've heard of it.

Re: Sprint said NO sd card?

It has a 16GB SD card. Someone on XDA posted a guide on how to get to it. The SD port is hidden, so you have to take a bunch of stuff out to get to it.

Thats what is keeping me from getting the arrive. If I wanted a phone with just internal memory or memory card that can't be removed without voiding the warranty I would just get the iphone. I hope microsoft changes that.

Re: Sprint said NO sd card?

i have no issue with not having an sd slot. i would prefer an sd slot, but its not a deal breaker. all media to my zune free/paid account. 25 gbs on microsoft skydrive aka ms cloud for whatever else. sugarsync and dropbox cloud storage for whatever else. 500 gbs harddrive for whatever else more than that.

clouds are the future anyways..

Re: Sprint said NO sd card?

The lack of SD card is a well documented issue with WP7. 16gb internal plus 25gb skydrive I think is good for me, I would love more but I don't have that much crap to keep on my phone lol.

Re: Sprint said NO sd card?

Not sure if this helps you guys/gals...

They have done this on the HTC Trophy and they rated SD cards by their perfomance, so if you were looking to upgrade to 32gb, they list cards that seem to make the phone faster....and the cards to avoid. (just don't buy them on ebay, a very high rate of fakes show up there)

Re: Sprint said NO sd card?

I upgraded mine last week, the link to the exact 32GB card I used is in my sig. It's identicle to the card I removed in every way except for the capacity...
