Middle Joystick Button Stuck

Hello,
Recently my middle/center joystick button started getting stuck, where the phone would think I'm constantly pressing "enter."
Someone told me this is a known issue with this phone?

Anyway, what would be the best fix for this problem?
Get a new, replacement joystick?
Open it up (and void the warranty) and clean the contact?

Thanks.

I have the same problem as you. I went to the Verzion store yesterday. Told them the button is stuck and is now super sensitive. Then told them how i read a few different places that it was a known problem with the phone. The person didn't know about it and got someone else. The new guy must have knew about the problem because he just ordered me a new phone right on the spot. My new phone should arrive Monday no charge and not counting towards a new phone on my insurance.

On a side note instead of going to my local Verizon store. I went to one in a rich neighborhood. I figure rich people bitch allot and those stores just give em what they want.

I'm glad that you got a replacement. But I got my phone secondhand so getting Verizon to replace it is out of question... Any other suggestions?

I bought my phone used from ebay. If you search the forums for the word "Joystick" You will see that Verizon knows its a problem with the phone.
