I wouldn't use it while snowboarding... eek... expensive MP3 player to break.
But anyway, I've yet to find a program that can function without the LCD on... basically, the device has to be awake for it to work. Pocketmusic is a great app though and it has a locking feature... if you couple the locking feature with putting your phone into flight mode, you could probably get a decent amount of playback time... 5 hours maybe? I've never tested... but if you're looking to match a standalone player, you're gonna need the Seidio extended battery. |

Mortplayer is my personal favorite... mostly because it has better skins and is more stable on my machine for whatever reason.
I map the pocket IE button to shut the screen off and put it in button lock mode... Then I use my stereo bluetooth headset to pause, play, increase/decrease volume, etc |

PocketPlayer by Conduits is my favorite. It can be set to shut off the screen after 30 seconds, works with various streaming formats and even podcasts.

I agree with 1Up. PocketPlayer will do what I think ypu are asking because, as he said, it will play and turn the screen off on its own. however, if it is playing and YOU turn the screen off, it will turn off the player so you will have to let the timeout hit so it will do it on its own.

Windows Media.
You can program a button to "Toggle Screen." It shuts off the screen and touch function, but the buttons and joystick still work. Certain buttons won't work for "Toggle Screen." It's just trial and error to find the one that works best for you. It worked really well on my old E-125 and X30's: battery life doubled or more. The problem with the 6700 is not enough buttons....... you'll see

r u guys kidding me? u have the inbuilt audio manager from htc which works good . with back light on on acb power meter with audio manager running 100ma. with light of n music on headphs 70ma goes till 56ma. with music running on ph speaker also varies bet 90-80.
now i tried it with the power button off.. it plays properly that way.. prob with the memory running at 106hz or whatever the auto scaler gets it to instead of the 426 or whatever the normal is. when u switch of the back light.the power meter went till 50 too but it went up n down a bit. u guys can put on the power meter urself n check out the various modes n average power consumed.. i think it prob will be around 60 or so average . the normal power in sleep mode power button of is about 30 ma. so i think it isnt a bad timing u get from the audio manager. course u cant change n skip the tracks with the light off. if u use voice command u can even goto next track while jogging just by saying that. it works pretty well for me in windows media player. voice command doesnt work in audio manager. and u cant close back light in windows media player.. lol cant have everything can you.. |
