anyone know the hack that keeps evdo connected? i have IM+ but it disconnects if I let it idle too long.

for setting the backlight on the keyboard to stay on longer try
hkey_current_user/controlpanel/backlight/Qkeyledtimeout
change the value data to how many seconds you want
10=10 seconds
30=30 seconds
and so on
then soft reset

Anyone know if this works for WM6 releases?

ojgsxr6 10-11-2007 05:47 PM

I want to disable the Message delivery confirmation, the key mentioned in the hack doesn't exist so I created it set the dword integer to 0, then restarted the Phone, and it still doesn't work.

Fix it, fix it, fix it.

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSDelivery Notify = 1 (DWORD decimal)

The SMS DeliveryNotify Key is in HKCU not HLKM

I was able to stop delivery confirmations as follows:

Messaging-->Menu (right soft key)-->MMS Configuration-->Uncheck:Allow delivery report

This will work for WM6 (courtesy of SprintMogul.net)

Increasing Speaker Volume

Try increasing the value in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Phone/"Vol"

I cranked it up to 95000 (original value is 65535 and that increase the volume substantially, I don't know what it will max out at or how it will effect battery power (I don't even care, as long as the volume is louder).

Also.. while they say it's specifically for the Mogul, you might want to check out the reg tweaks at http://www.sprintmogul.net/FAQ/HaizisMogulHacks.aspx

I've found that some WM5 hacks work on WM6 and vice versa. My understanding is WM6 is really just 5 tweaked out a bit - not sure if that is completely true or not.

Happy hacking.
