Re: Official Personal OEMizer Thread

Tiermann, if I want to set a hack in the registry using the Oemiser, do I merely type

HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\QKeyLedTimeout=30

to change the keyboard backlight timeout to 30 seconds?

In the registry entries section, add...
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Backlight]
"QKeyLedTimeout"=dword:0000001E
or in the provxml section, add..
Code:
       <characteristic type="Registry">

		<characteristic type="HKCU\Controlpanel\Backlight"  translation="filesystem" >
			<parm name="QKeyLedTimeout" datatype="integer" value="30" />
		</characteristic>
   	</characteristic>

Is this problem of mine something I can solve with PPC Kitchen or OEMizer? From what I've been reading SMS does not seem to have been a problem for anyone flashing a 6700.

Re: Official Personal OEMizer Thread

Is it possible to "take" personal OEMs cooked into the 6.0 kitchen and "move" them to the 6.1 kitchen, or do they have to be cooked up from scratch?

It will work, but the first time OEMizer is run you will get an error because the explorer will key off of it's former location. It doesn't affect the OEM in the build, but if you want to change/add info to the OEM it will cause the problem. I solved the problem by running OEMizer from the .exe in the 6.1 kitchen folder and making a new one.

I'm testing right now. The data connection is still enabled for me but I think it has to do with the order the provxml's are processed. I'm trying with zz infront of the filename.

Edit: Still enabled. I'll take a look at it though.

Edit: Renaming to mxipupdate_vzwMyProv_204.provxml works.

Re: Official Personal OEMizer Thread

ok can some one be kind of enough to break this down into layman terms?I tried importing ifonz 0.9.7 from cab..For some reason the outcome is still in a cab.But my main question is i stuck the folder it produced into buildos/kitchen/
directory...I just doesn't show up..if i hit oemizer from the new build os it says error finding oemizer.exe...i have read every post here...can someone be kinda of enough to explain how to add cabs to your kitchen...cause i simply can't get them to wanna show up for me...
