nico, I'll check out speedial and see what I can come up with.

I got a lot of work done on documentation. There'll be a help file included in next release, but for now the same information can be found at http://tiermann.net/OEMizerHelp while I work on it. Mostly done except for the "Communication" section.

--1.3.3
-Added Help to dropdown menu in menubar.
-Added help file. Also mirrored at http://tiermann.net/OEMizerHelp
-Removed speeddial from Phone & Data section until I have a chance to look it over.

I extracted 1.3.3 to my Tools folder, ran the OEMizer and customized some of the settings and then chose "Save Settings as Default" from the menu. When I re-open the OEMizer none of my settings are retrieved, it is just the default. I have verified that the OEMizer.ini file does contain my cusomizations and it is in the Tools folder with the OEMizer itself but nothing I try seems to work.

I suppose I must be overlooking something simple but I'm stumped. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Tried the OEMizer built into the kitchen and have to admit it's a huge time saver. Is there some way to have the OEMizer install cabs to specific locations (storage card, main, etc)?

You can either write your own Autorun config or just use TierAutoinstall from the kitchen. It's a ppc app.
All cabs installed with autorun and TierAutoinstall go to device though.
In a ROM all files go to \Windows as "ROM" files, but if you're going to install things elsewhere you'll need to include them in the intiflashfiles.txt (or give them a different destination in OEMizer to do the same thing). Any files copied out of \Windows will be taking up space in both places. If you have cabs that need to be installed to ext_rom or storage card, it's just better to keep them as cab or find out what registry keys and shortcuts you need to have them function again on a hard-reset and add those to your OEM. Some apps you can get away without having to reinstall them if they're already sitting in extrom or storage card.

I just noticed the same thing. I'll take a look real quick, but if I can't find it right away I'll have it fixed by tomorrow night.

Edit:
--1.3.4
-Fixes auto loading of settings.

Just in time for the next reflash! Will let ya know if I find any more bugs. BTW, is there any way to set other things like camera settings? I reset the camera every time I reflash so I don't wind up with new pix with the same name, and it would be nice if it could be in a future OEMizer revision to allow for custom camera settings.

I'm not sure where the picture count is stored, but the folder settings and prefix strings are in HKCU\Software\HTC\CameraWizard(PocketPC)\3.00\.

The individual mode settings are in HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P1 etc that will let you change the folder, format and a couple others.

HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Captparam has a setting "EnableDateFolder" to store each day's pictures in a separate folder.

If I'm getting this right I could add those registry entries with OEMizer in the additional registry entries and preset the camera?

Thanks for the EnableDateFolder tip too!

Yeah, anything in additional reg entries gets appended to the bottom of your rgu so as long as you follow the same RGU format it should work. Let me know what you find works and doesn't work and what kind of effects you get from each key. I can maybe add them for everyone in OEMizer as well later :)
