Palringo - OEM package not working

Thanks to nautica2450 for the heads up on Palringo. All the guys at my work have it now so we can "walkie talkie" insults back and forth all day.

I'm having an issue though getting my OEM package to work. I'm going under the assumption that one or more of the dll files has the original path hard coded. Opening the cab file shows the install path as \Program Files\Palringo but of course with the OEM it all dumps in the Windows folder. Is this line of thinking correct? I've never had this problem with OEMs before so I don't know if I'm pointing myself in the right direction.

The package itself installs fine. The shortcut is made and in the right location. The problem is when I try to open the application, the title bar changes briefly then goes back to "Start".

Any thought?

Thanks guys!

Doesn't work as an OEM, and gets updated enough that you shouldn't bother. You can install to main memory or to your extrom if you unhide/unlock it. If you get really clever you can bake in the shortcut and registry entries into your rom yet keep the palringo files on the extrom--that way when you hard reset or flash a new rom it's just like it's pre-installed, but yet it's not.

Thanks for the info, but I had to uninstall it. It drained my battery three times today, unless by some weird coincidence the battery decided to go to the bad on the day I installed Palrigo. I even had the power saver mode enabled and it was working.

Nope Palringo's definitely a battery hog. It's really only workable if you can charge during the day or you don't keep it running.
