what do you think is the problem Freezing up

Ok 1st i got the phone from ebay But was a somewhat local seller phone works fine
I use the phone to connect the laptop to the internet

here is whats going on with it. When i set up the phone thru bluetooth to connect to internet it works fine until i put ' i guess you could say stress' on the connection when i hit a site or goto download a large file (over 15 megs) the phone freezes up and i have to resetit.

I've tried the wifi sharing (cant figure it out)
and today like 40 minutes ago i finially find the usb modem drivers .. which came out to be the easiest way to connect.. the phone has not froze up yet.

any idea what could be wrong?
it froze with the oem rom .. and i put helmi rom in and seemed to be better but then it started freezing .

I did buy a new battery just a shot in the dark.. so same problem before and after that too.
