EvDo internet Slow?

I noticed that my Sprint internet is very slow after i uninstalled the calltones.cab. When its loading sometimes it will say 1x instead, i don't understand why when i live in the network. Anyone know why?

I have noticed EVDO (at leasst the Sprint flavor) to be very slow the lst few days as well. I am not aware of any changes I have made to my 6700 to cause this -- usually Kirvin's Rom is fast as the dickens!

I wonder if there is something going on on Sprint's end?

Big(and others experiencing this slow down)--
See this thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...do+slow&page=2

(newbie... hope I am doing this right!)

The problem appears to be on Sprint's end -- well atleast throughout OH/KY/IN/TN region. The DNS servers are FUBAR. Krazie has a work around in this thread.

Hmmmm I don't know what the deal is either. I live in Southern California just north west of Los Angeles and on broadband reports I ALWAYS get over 900kbps, usually closer to 1100kbps when at home. I have full EVDO service everywhere in my local as well. Today I've been testing ALL DAY and I've been getting around 300-400kbps. This suuuucks...=/

sprint is updating their billing info, and alot of other computer crap. while they are doing this we may have some issues. my signal has been junk lately. they are supposed to be done by the 11th of this month. they sent me a letter in the mail saying there would be no plan changes, upgrades to phones, yada yada, due to this change. so hang tight.

Okay fixed. using a hack.

Go to settings, the connections, then connections,

mange existing connections.

edit sprint #777
NEXt, next, then advanced

go to servers tab. select "use specific server address:"

enter 4.2.2.1 as the DNS.

OK
Finish

Reboot..
now you are good to go
