djumbie: Check the old thread (Thread two). I believe this showed up in beta when the a video was loaded while already in landscape mode.. if I recall correctly. It had to do with the last version of tcmp. If this is your issue, you can just copy the old version over the new one or just start in portrait mode. (again asuming this is the same issue).
The latest version was chosen for the rom as it just seemed to work better overall and outweighed the issue if starting in landscape.

djumbie: My Orb video works okay with TCPMP. I get pauses, but that's because I have a slow connection. The video always restarts when the buffer catches up. Yes, it seems to open in landscape, but I don't mind that. I haven't done anything with the 6700 except associate PLS files in TCPMP. That's the stream format I chose in Orb. I wonder if your problem might have more to do with your PC Orb configuration than with your device. In configuration, I have UPnP AV Media server enabled, as well as enabling UPnP for direct stream. My video decoder is ffdshow.

saridour: Even after cleaning the screen, I kept having to re-align. I'd press very heavily on the screen to make sure it "took." However, the last time, I decided to press very lightly. Guess what! It has stayed aligned for a couple of days now. So, I'm hoping its fixed.

Kyoshiro-mibu: That is the wrong sequence to hard reset and is most likely your problem. You need hold down the two soft keys (keys on the front next to the windows and ok keys) and press the reset button. You should see a prompt y/n to reset. Sorry for missing you on the last post, we must have posted at the same time.

jendand: Hope the align sticks this time. If needed I think I know how to get the align to run everytime after a soft reset if you need it.

So I've ditched WM6 and come back to this rom. I've had nothing but problems since I left Sardinour's pr4 way back when - from the Helmi 3.5 Kitchen to Helmi's WM6 to VerizonGuy's WM6 kitchen - I've always had problems.

I just loaded pr8, so I'll let you know how it goes. Hopefully my problems are not hardware related....

QUICK QUESTION:

When I soft reset, I get these two messages:

Cannot execute ceipui.exe

The Filed "ssaemon" cannot be opened ... etc etc

I click okay for both and the rom appears to work fine. Is this normal?

Two hard resets later and everything works like it should. No hiccups or error messages.

PhilR8: Those are new errors to me. I have not seem them nor where they identified in the beta, but glad they seem to have gone away. I would really keep the rom as stock as possible for as long as you can to test for hardware errors, more so after seeing the ones you mentioned earlier. If you still see oddities, I would try a stock rom with no added apps and what happens. Weird things happen when power supplies go (but rare). Keep us posted on how the rom treats you and what you think of it.

Mms

Thanks for the tips on sorting out TCMP. It was an orientation problem that's mostly now sorted out.
What MMS application are you guys using? I had installed the PPCGeeksSprintMMS on the pr6 version. I was never able to send video (got an unsupported file type error) but thought is was handy. I also just upgraded to radio 1.43 which seems to make web activity faster. Thanks again!

I wanted to download this and install it (I'm sick of the instability of WM6) but the download link seems to be broken.
