Welcome to PPCGeeks.

The first thing is to post on the appropiate forum. I will move this thread there.

Secondly, you'll need to provide us with more details. What cell provider do you have, what cell provider was the 6700 previously on, what 'code' are you entering, etc.

if your trying to activate online, with verizon, you cant do that with a PDA phone. you will have to take it in and get it activated, or call it in, because they want to add the data plan to your account.

I brought it in today and it was still unable to connect.

I brought it in to Qwest today and it still was unable to be turned on.. the phone is on off mode.. they worked on taking it off the phone off mode so they can program if but it was futile.. can you tell me how to do it.. when used to call it says..... you have to connect the radio to the phone. we did soft reboot and hard reboot it as well.. it did not work.. maybe the phone doesnt work after all..

You could flash the Radio to 1.41 and see if that fixes it. Or you could reflash the whole thing to the official Qwest ROM.

I can't believe they let you walk out of the store with a broken phone! I would be p*****

He got it from a friend though, so in their eyes it's not their problem. Places around where I am won't even try to fix it, only if you got it form them and had a coverage plan on it. Other than that they just make sure there side is working fine (plan is active, ESN is correct in the computer, etc.) and say you should bring it back to where you got it. :-\

There's only two reasons that I know of,

1. You need to reflash the radio onto it. Somehow the radio software has been deleted off the phone. If so go to "Upgrading to Radio 1.41" or whatever the title is in the forum. Fast, free, and easy way to do it. If that doesn't work than:

2. The Radio is fried, which means that the radio inside is dead. It burnt up some how. Unfortunately no fix for that. (correct me if I'm wrong, I don't know of any way to replace the radio in the phone)
