Keep in mind I have read about some issues with these using regular SD cards (i.e. those 2GB or less), so unless you want to help find bugs then don't install these unless you need to use a SDHC card.
I'm running this driver with a normal (i.e.: non SDHC) Sandisk 2GB MiniSD card without any issues what-so-ever. I'm not sure who has issues, but I sure don't. These drivers have been nothing but stable for me.

At this point, I'm not sure why its not included w/ every ROM release (much like Verizonguy how he now includes it in his WM6 release based on Helmi's work).

My non-SDHC cards worked fine with the earlier SDHC drivers - but not with this driver. - sheureka

Hmmm, good info. It has worked fine with my sandisk 1GB card but like I said, I've seen reports of "issues" with all of the SDHC drivers and non-SDHC cards.

I said it before and I'll say it again, don't bother with any of these unless you need to have support for SDHC cards--there's no benefit and you're potentially giving up the now rock-solid reliability of the latest official SD driver for the Apache. It's possible that in the future we'll have better drivers but right now all of these have been brought over from other WM6 devices and may have issues as a result.

Thanks! This did the trick for my 6GB SanDisk microSDHC card, as well as working with all my other cards... 4GB SanDisk microSDHC, 2GB SanDisk microSD, 2 GB ADATA miniSD...

I have tested the Camera with the 6gb Sandisk SDHC Card. It would not write to the card (said not enough space or something like that) until I had filled up 4gb of it leaving 2gig free. Once there was only 2 gig free on the card, the Camera writes to it fine. Go figure. At least I have a good reason to keep hours of music on it

SDHC info for WM6

The Eten users got their dirty little hands on some htc sdhc files which have been used to add sdhc support for a lot of htc devices running wm6. I've included this support in my most recent edition of Helmi's WM6 rom for the Apache.

This thread is to give you a helping hand on getting an SDHC card working on your apache running wm6.

Either install my version of Helmi's wm6 rom for Verizon users or run the cab I've attached to this post.

Acquire an SDHC card. You can either try to find a Mini SDHC card online (good luck finding one in a store) or you can get a Micro SDHC card with a Mini SD adapter.

You will need an adapter/card reader so you can format the card on your computer as most of the time when you put the card in your apache it will not recognize the card until it is formatted.

Putting my micro SDHC card in an SD adapter then inserting that into the SD reader built into my laptop didn't work as the sd reader on my new Dell doesn't support SDHC, or at least not with the current drivers. I then put the Micro SDHC card into an SD adapter and then put that into an SD card USB adapter and the laptop found it without any problems.

Once you have connected your SDHC card to your computer and you can see the card listed as a drive on your computer, open a command prompt. If you're new to using a prompt, you can do it by either clicking the start button then "Run" then typing cmd, or by going to the Start button, then Accessories.

Once you have a prompt open, type diskmgmt.msc and hit enter. You'll now see your various drives on your computer. BE CAREFUL NOT TO SELECT THE WRONG DRIVE. Right click on the drive for your card and select Format. In the box that pops up, select Fat32 for file system and click OK.

This will make it so the card can be read by your apache running wm6 as long as you've installed my version of helmi's rom if you're on verizon, or have installed the cab file I'm attaching.

I'm currently running a Sandisk 4GB Micro SDHC card on my Apache with a Mini SD adapter and it is working great so far.

Good luck all!
