Good thing is if you have an unlimited data plan you can get advanced device credit to get 100 off phones. So if you have new every 2 then you get 100 off plus advanced device credit 100 plus mail in rebate 50.00 off so you are looking at total of up to 250.00 off

People have been ordering the 6800 (VZW) for two days now.
Check the VZW PDA -6800 thread on Howards Forum .They are showing the receipts and photos of the phones. Pages 99 & 100.

yeah, I won't switch to any other provider because verizon has the best service and overall better coverage. Had sprint and t-mobile and they sucked bad. xv6700 is great. Don't know if I will upgrade to 6800 or not. The phone is practically the same with an upgrade to memory size and upgrade to wm6. The memory is nothing when you have a 4gig sd card and the wm6 is nothing when you have a custom rom. I think I will stick to my 6700...prob take it in to verizon and pay $50 to get a brand new one as mine is physically all messed up.

There is some really good pricing info on Howard Forums.

2yr contract price - $499

Online Discount - $100 off (I think this negates the $50 mail in rebate, but I'm not sure)
New Every 2 - $100 off
Advanced Device Credit - $100 off

People have been reporting to have gotten the phone for $199.

Questions about the XV6800: On the Verizon site, the cpu is listed at 384 or 387 Mhz while my 6700 is 416 Mhz. Does this mean a noticable slowdown? or is it unnoticable.
I like the idea of the extra memory but I am seeing some listing that the 6800 has 96mb of ROM and others that list it as 64mb. Which is correct? anyone actually seen one from Verizon?
Last but not least I am wondering how you guys get the advanced device credit buying online? I almost completed the ordering process but didn't see it listed and if it has to be done in store, you don't get the online discount. Have I missed something?
BTW..I am the primary account holder so any discounts available I should get

You only get the device credit if you are upgrading the primary phone on the account...same goes with the NE2 discount... the only thing ordering online allows you to get versus calling them and order with telesales is the 100 dollar discount for online orders...i ordered mine yesterday should be here tomorrow.... its about f*in time!

As for the notice in speed or preformance from 380's +/- v/s 416Mhz, you shouldnt see a difference. That isnt very much at all. But Im sure you can always overclock it with Pocket Hack Master
