Verizon News

I don't think this has been announced outside the company but will be shortly.

Effective this Sunday, October 7th, Verizon customers will be able to change to any voice or data plan without renewing their contracts.

Good news. Just figured I'd give you all a heads up.

That's great news. May I ask how you came about this info?
Any sources you can share, or should we just wait til Sunday to see it on their site?

Thanks for the info.

I think it's due to the fact that Sprint is going through a class action lawsuit because they were extending contacts for plan changes and not telling the users.. so I think to cover Verizon's ass, they are changing their policy to reflect this so they dont get sued as well.

Too bad they won't lower the price of the data plan. Too bad they won't compete on the evening and weekend times. Too bad they use CDMA. Too bad they will not offer a free phone after 2 years. Too bad they are addicted to long term contracts and early term fees. Too bad I cant buy an iPhone. Too bad I can;t randomly kill Democrats.... <vbg>

Thanks for the info.
Sorry can't answer that as it could jeopardize my career.

However I've just found that the info was released early by a newspaper in St Paul,MN so I guess the info is out now anyway.

'Bout time... this has been one of Alltel's big selling points for the last couple of years (being able to upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time). Looks like Alltel will have to come up with some new commercials...

That's strange because originally I had the data plan but I called and cancelled it a few months ago and downgraded my minutes but I didn't have to sign a new contract. They also said I could change back at any time.

Your retarded fn president does it every day in Iraq and one of them was a family member of mine. I would ruin you if the chance presented.

I also changed plans without contract renewal 4 months ago.
