Unhappy Battery Life, where to buy for 6700

Ok I'm tired of carrying around the cord for this phone.. I can't believe the battery life on these phones is so bad..

Where are people finding the best battery for the phones?? I'm not looking at taking a chance on ebay..

Is this really normal?
Almost as soon as I unplug it, 90%
5 Mins 80%
10 Mins 70%
15 Mins 50%
25 20% (alarm chimes battery is low)
30 Mins 10% remaining

This was with 6700 WM6, backlight on (ir off, BT on but not linked) and surfing the net..

Which battery are you using? Regular/extended?

Just go with the extended, its bigger, but its a good sacrifice for not having to charge every 4 hours.

That's the worst battery life I've ever seen reported for this device. I'd say you've got a bad battery.

I can use my 6700 for about 6 hours with backlight, EVDO, and a few phone calls inbetween before it dies.

Thats with the original OEM battery... I usually keep it plugged in..

If it is a bad battery, whats the suggested place to purchase? Verizon? Sprint? Sedio? or is there places (besides EBay) that are good..

Wow, that is really horrible battery life. Definetly a dead battery. I can have WiFi on and get better battery life than that with my original battery. Seidio has good prices, and their 3200 mAh battery is awesome.

Same problem here. I have just contacted Verizon service and they said to bring it to the authorized center. They think that I could get a new battery without charge (I mean cost) since it has been such a short time. The last one lasted six months and that is how long it's been now. Once I get the new battery, I'm going to run my stop watch program while doing other things with the phone. I want to see if it lasts six hours. Supposedly 300 minutes is the advertised battery life. I've NEVER had that. Mine is just like the original posters times, if I'm using it constantly for IE or MP3. If I have it off it lasts all day. Well, what's the point then right! I'm going in tomorrow or the next day to have it resolved. And the bummer, gotta take off all the nice goodies from ppcgeeks.
I guess they don't like it if you hacked the phone, even if it is for the better.
Don't think it's because of all that stuff. I had a tech on the line as I hard reset and it dropped fast while on the phone with him without any additional software installed.
