Text messaging problem(phone i think is the problem)

ok iam having a major problem with my phone when it comes to text messaging now. i notice that my phone is not alerting me right as i get the message nor it shows up in the phone. like now i just tested it with my cousin. i sent her a message and she sent me a reply and at 1:17pm i recieved the message and thats the time from the clock on the phone. now when i go to my inbox the message time that it says it was recieved was at 1:10pm. there is something wrong and sprint cannot help me at all. can someone please help. or this maybe the time to return it? i hard reseted and soft reseted last night and i didnt even put everything back on the phone. it seems like im not getting every message im suppose to recieve and if i do theres this big delay in between and its usually fast.
