Good job on your work. I have one comment. I installed your cab without changing the mms on the Helmi's WM6 and at least between my 6800 and my wifes 6700 we can send both pics and vid back and forth. Thanks for all your time on this.

just as a head up... i installed the files on a Treo700wx running WM5 and it works fine... receive and send times are average, not extramly long like some users are stating.
Thanks

First of all, are you on some kind of internet connection??

Second of all, please post the stat's for your phone...

And I'm in PPCGeek's chatroom if ya wanna chat in realtime to fix this issue...

I would go to the chat but something is up with the connection here at work, wont let me send any commands to the irc server, so i cant join any chans.

I have an Alltel branded Apache 6700 running Helmi's WM6 and the latest MMS software. I installed your cab file and it did change my MMS settings but just says error synchronizing whenever i hit send receive.

And as far as internet connection, no just trying to use phone connection i guess.

Found it
HTC Apache / Sprint PPC-6700 /Verizon XV6700:

While holding both softkeys (buttons with “-“ on them), push in on the reset button once. Make sure you are still holding onto the softkeys. A confirmation screen should appear asking you if you want to reset all data. Press Y to reset, N to cancel.

Who asked how to do a hard reset?

Great job Lenny! I also installed your cab without changing the mms on the Helmi's WM6. I have an Alltel data plan, with a family share. So my phone is the main line, with two other family share lines. The data plan from Alltel is unlimited data for my line and unlimited text, picture messaging and axcess web for the other two lines. BTW: the other two phones are simple motorola flips. I never called Alltel to place picture messaging on my main line....I just installed your cab a few minutes ago and everything works perfect! -Syber

wait....I tried pictures between all phones back a forth, let me try some vids....ok all phones notify that a MMS is sent or received, however when you check on either the 6700 or the flips, I get the same message..."A Video Message has been sent to you from an Alltel customer. Go to www axcessmypics com to view. Unregistered users will receive login via text message shortly."

Is there something else that needs changed? It's no biggy, I'm still very pleased that the picture messaging is working - thanx again!!!

Lenny, Update....actually let me back up a little before you try and diag the vid issue...the two motorola flips are from another carrier that Alltel just acquired, so it has taken me quite some time to get the account just right to send MMS between those two only...Alot of account adjustment issues and I practically know everyone at Alltel by now - J/K ...Anyway I guess the only real way to tell if the vid portion is working correctly is to send a vid to another native Alltel phone. Only my UT6700 is a branded Alltel unit. So as soon as I try this theory, I will update you. -Syber

Video messaging is tricky because the server we are using to send picture's back and forth is very picky on what is sent over it. When you record your video, do not use the actual MMS Video portion of your camera, instead goto your camera seperatly, and use the regular video portion, but you have to change some settings first.

Go into your camera settings, and on the regular video, change the size to medium, leave it on mp4 format, and set a 250KB size limitation. The reason for the limitation is that because Alltel has a 300KB limitation, and 250 is as close as you can set it to 300. This trick worked for me, but only on the Alltel Motorola Razr. I don't really do video much, so I have yet to test it much. Me, and a couple of other's from PPCGeeks are working on getting a copy of the MMS software off of the new Alltel 6800 WM6 so we can use it instead of the old Verizon software. So when we can get this done, maybe, just maybe, it'll have a whole bunch on new camera settings that are more compatible, as well as use the actual server we are supposed to be using that shouldn't be as picky...

Stop by PPCGeek's chatroom sometime, I stay in there alot. I'll keep you posted, maybe I'll get a chance to work on video this week...
