I tried it on mine and it is not working.
when I installed the cab file I was told that it was made for an earlier system or something. when I send one, it tries to connect through the internet and I get a sending error. I am running 2.11

Ok....some friends have a pretty good delay. Around 0200hrs I had 4 new MMS come in. All of the ones that "never" came through. Looks like a winner, you're the man. And your donation goes where? Thanks!

I just found a server that we weren't trying, and plus did some change's to some other settings in the registry...

lenny, thought I would let you know that today I got mine working with WM5 as well. I had upgraded to WM6 just to get MMS working, but it was slower than my WM5 install. The problem I was having was my Rom had an older version of Arcsoft, and even if I upgraded to the newest version, it was still accessing that older version. New Rom with newer Arcsoft and problem solved.

WORKS.

im Using wm5 3.5 - 1.0.4 or whatever (it has the bell 3.11 drivers), radio 1.41 and did NOT let the alltel ext_rom install/customize (the "your device will customize in 3 seconds" thing).

installl the VZW mms cab. reboot <--installed this to SD
install lennysh cab file. reboot. <--i installed this to main memoery

when i send to verizon ppc6700, from alltel 6700, the notice for download came through to their phone in like 5 mins.then they downloaded and was successful.

when i sent one FROM the verizon ppc6700 to alltel 6700 it took like 5 hours for me to get the notice. (coulda been less but wa at least an hour) i had my data connection active on my alltel phone (evdo) when i was trying to recive it.

not sure if the data connection has to be INACTIVE to get the notice, then become ACTIVE to recive the actual messgae content. il try some more tests.

when vzw phone had no data conn notice came thru right away, but had to connect to download the content.

i didnt try it thru wifi yet.

i think these things are costin me $0.50 each :(

Yeah, if you have enough signal to get the notification, and you have your wifi active, it should go real smooth over that...



I added picture messaging to my smart choice plan like they do on the 6800 now, and it gives me unlimited picture messaging with no additional cost...

Good job on your work. I have one comment. I installed your cab without changing the mms on the Helmi's WM6 and at least between my 6800 and my wifes 6700 we can send both pics and vid back and forth. Thanks for all your time on this.
