Alltel 6700 MMS Working!!
 

Hello, yes finally we can now MMS with the Alltel PPC-6700. Follow the directions below to find out how you can join us in picture messaging.

1. Have Alltel add picture messaging to the line your 6700 is on.

2. Make sure you have MMS Composer 3.0.6.24 installed on your device. Link below if you need to download it.

3. Download the Alltel MMS cab below.

4. Install MMS Composer on your device if you haven't already.

5. Run my cab to fix all of the issue's related to why we have not been able to do this in the past.

6. Perform a soft reset to make sure all setting's take affect.

7. Send your first picture message, and request someone to send you a message in return.


Later on, I'll post the setting's you'll need to start doing the video messaging.

Looks like a winner. Hooked to my home network via wifi. Currently receiving pics from Cingular (AT&T) customers as well as Alltel. Going to check how them come in with no data line or wifi active.

It should connect automatically to your cellular internet...

Nice job lenny :) I'm not with Alltel but I know this has been a longstanding issue with Alltel users. Will work on getting this incorporated into future ROM releases.

I tried the chat...but my own firewall stopped me. LOL. Current issues are with some cingular customers. It works well on the cell line, but I was trying other options. It does activate the cell line if it is not active for a MMS to come in. Still playing til the battery dies. That should be rather soon.
