Took the 6800 Plunge...

Well, I have lived and died by my Alltel PPC-6700 (Apache of course) for the past two years, but my contract came up for renewal and I did what I said I wasn't going to do. I'm now the owner of a shiny new PPC-6800 (Mogul for you Sprint folks).

I really loved my Apache, but it was physically starting to fall apart. Inside, where it counts, it was incredibly stable and reliable though.

I have a bunch of Apache accessories (extended battery, desktop dock, Seidio car kit, Seidio clip holster, etc) that of course won't work for the 6800 so I am going to be looking for a home for them. Contemplating a way to have a private auction just for PPCGeeks members, since I'm sure someone here can use them and I'd rather take a lower price than open it up to the public on eBay. You guys... everyone from Helmi_C (genuflects and makes the sign of the "H") and all the mods right on down to the b00ns... you are who I have to thank for the great lifespan of my Apache, and in some small way it would be my way of giving back to the community to have these accessories find a home with someone here.

As for the Apache itself? Hanging on to it short-term till I am sure I am going to keep the 6800... then, it seems a proper burial would be to donate it to Helmi_C for further ROM and kitchen development. We'll see how that goes.

I'll still hang out here for a while, since I seem to be able to occasionally answer a question or two.

Sorry to see you migrate away from the Apache. Hopefully you'll continue to update your webpage with the Alltel PRL's as your 6800 will use it also!

Anyway, not to threadjack but... any idea what is the difference between PRL 40023 and 40020?

Well, if nobody else is going to bite, I'll step up and be the first....

A couple of questions to begin with

1) Which Siedio car kit? The deluxe one with the built in charger, mike, and stereo output, the one with a charger and built in speaker, the one with the charger only, or the low-end one without even a charger?

2) What is your bottom line price on the Siedio kit?

3) What is your bottom line price on the whole kit & kaboodle?

Feel free to answer here or PM me the price info.

Thanks
