My backlight isnt coming on now?!

wtc!

after a charge i unplug it, press the power button to engage the backlight and to wake it up.. and it doesnt. I can see the icons but the backlight doesnt light up, nor do the buttons.

BUT, when i reset the phone, the sprint logo comes on with the backlight, then once the welcome screen comes up the backlight goes off and stays off.. any fix to this?
i would hate to hard reset my phone right now.

hold on now, this is weird. when i plug it up to charge the backlight comes on, but once i disconnect it it goes out!!

1. press and hold the power botton!
2. the power button is somewhat of a light switch if you hold it down
3. u will see the blacklight come on before your phone resets
4. go to START>SETTINGS> SYSTEMS tab > BLACKLIGHT> here

Has anyone found the official cause of this? Mine does pretty much the exact same thing. I am currently a rom I created using Helmi_APAC_Official_AKU3_5_Kitchen_1_0_4. Other than that its quite stable but I've had this problem with both 1.0.3 kitchen and this one.

This used to happen to me alot b4 I upgraded to 1.04 (haven't gone to WM6 yet cause my phone is working so great now). Sometimes holding the top power button down when you see the windows screen worked and sometimes popping the sd card out worked. Good luck

Is this thread a joke? A senior member writes a post that he doesnt know how to work his backlight, he gets an answer from a junior member and then another person responds afterwards asking if there is a solution to something that the phone does by design... read the instruction manual peoples or at the very least read the post cause the answer is right there.

It is normal behavior... you hold the power button down it toggles the backlight... press it quickly and it puts the phone into standby.

Ever since my first AKU 3.3 upgrade, the phone occasionally forgets its battery-powered backlight setting - and no this is not related to inadvertently turning off the backlight by pressing and holding the on/off button. The solution is to turn on a light so you can see the screen and reset the backlight setting - real simple. BTW, this seems much less common with Helmi's 1.04 kitchen.

I found the same problem, no back lite after unplugging from charging. Found that the back lite setting for battery set to off. this has happened twice since upgrading to WM6. Fix: just plug back in and change back lite setting.

Darn how simple, your so right, was also wondering why at times my backlight was out, sucked, had to go into a bright light to see the display and work my way to the backlight settings and all i really had to do was press the power button in for a couple seconds. Thanks
