PPC 6700 Text message fix?

Ok I upgraded my 6700 alltel phone to WM6, but the text message doesn't give me who the message came from now... the first word of the message is in place of the sender name. any idea what to do to fix this?

There are tons of threads about this already int the Apache forum, but chances are you let the carrier customiaztions run after you installed WM6. The only way to fix it is to do a HARD reset, and when it says it's going to do the carrier stuff (it'll be a countdown) do a SOFT reset before that happends.

But yeah, you should never let that stuff run anyway as all of the carrier crap is in the ROM
