text messages wont vibrate anymore. need help

I made some of the hack changes in the registry to make my ringer volume louder. I followed the recommended changes on this site, but I must have unknowingly done something else. because now my phone won't vibrate when I get a text message--even with it being set to vibrate on the start menu/setting/sound&notification setting set for text messages to vibrate. can someone help me correct this.

also, I need a pocketpc cad viewer program for my phone. I have one, but it won't work on my phone. its called pocketpc_cad_viewer. it says that version requires a newer version of microsoft. is there a free version outthere that I could use on my phone. I'm a plant electrician and need to view autocad DWG files

it was this folder below: HKCurrentUser\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\In itvol

but I also opened up several other ones without making any changes. I was basically exploring them. I should have wrote down each folder I was exploring and what changes I was making, of all people I should know better, because as a plant electrician, we have to make copies of all plc program changes. hopefully one of you guys know which folder controls text messages vibrating function. thanks for helpng me look into this.

yes the vibrate box is checked. and my emails alerts are sent to me as text alerts, then I sign on to my email with the 'send/receive' on the menu strip. but vibrates does work for my in coming calls, this is how I know the vibrate on the phone do work, and that it has to bea program issue. something indirectly connected to the message vibrate alert isn't working or missing. at least that's howit seems to me.
