MMS not working properly on my device

My friend sent me multiple pictures from her Verizon phone to my verizon 6700 which is currently running WM6. I got the indication of messages as well as the messages listed under MMS but they do not download, they stay in the downloading state for a long time (like days) then randomly I get a message receipt failed message. I have deleted all 4 messages she sent only for them to come back again days later, still not able to get the pictures she sent. What should I do?

If you are running the palm threaded app then that is the problem, uninstall it and the pix come in fine. (at least on my 67 that is how it works)

Do not run that. I have been on the phone with verizon techs many times and have had no success yet. Is it at all possible that they are forcing users to use the #777 to get MMS message media? I have deleted those settings to prevent charges from coming through. The MMS configuration shows you have the option to get the message through the internet, and I am successfully connected to my wifi network. Any ideas?
