new ppc

i had my ppc as of today for 1 week and four days. And i have problems with it i love my phone but damn, here are the problems im having

1. i have to soft reset alot because ir freezes allot.

2. it will sleep and cant be turned on and u can see the light flashing in the corner.

3. idk it seems like apps end on there own. for example magic button- turns the x buttons into close buttons to close things and agile messenger seems to stop on its own when i turn off the phone or when it turns off on its own. *known problem with agile*

4. sometimes when i push the answer button to answer calls it ignores calls. and then its says i have missed calls.

5. seems like the screen gets unaligned easily at times.

6. not sure if its normal but it says cant connect to pcs vision and i have to reset to get it to work or pocket msn messes up and cant be used.

i have an external memory card and it looks like it has already had its rom update.

i really dont know what the problem is and hoping if someone can help me out.. please. Im thinking of taking it back

Well first of all we'd need to know all the apps you have installes as it's most likely one that is not playing well with another one.

What do you mean with the external memory card looking like it has its ROM update? ROM updates are applied directly to the device and they pretty much update the way the device operates.

no i meant have an external memory card for the phone for extra memory. and it seems that the phone has the update from sometime in feburary. i have agile(on the card) magic button(on the card) mms(on the card) midlet hq(on the card) phm reg edit(on the card). thats all i have.

Uhmmm I don't personally have any of those apps... however, I see you are running all of them from the card. That can affect performance and cause lock-ups. Have you reserached to check if maybe some of those need to be ran from the main memory?

Maybe switching them to the main memory for the sake of testing could fix the issues.

i have had my ppc for 3 days now and i havent had any problems at all, day one installed all the programs you have except for agile and never had a problem with freezing, and last night i did 3 hard resets just for the heck of it...have you tried hard resets?

Programs that need to start on there own need to be installed on the main memory. Example: Magic Button main memory, Card game storage card. This is most likely what is causing freeze ups. Next time the PPC locks up try removing the storage card and then put it back the PPC should come on

I don't use Agile

The PPC probably has already rang to many times and is going to voice mail already. Make sure ringers are stored in main memory and that the ringer file is not to big

5. seems like the screen gets unaligned easily at times.

What type of case are you using? 6700's don't like cases with large magnets, so stat away from magnets.

This is usually caused by signal problems. Do you get a good signal in your area?

PS give the 6700 a chance these PPC need a couple of add ons' to work flawlessly and what you need might be different from what someone else needs. When you get the 6700 the way you like it you wont ever take it

back.

i wanna thank all of u for not making me lose my 400 ans something dollars or getting it back. all of the things u said worked so my ppc is working perfect thank god. lol. the hard reset did me some good. also i uninstalled factory software.
