Question about programming my PPC

I have a question about my PPC 6700, I went to the store today to ask about the taxing authority that is on my bill still almost 2 years after moving to Illinois from Missouri. I have a shared plan with a sanyo 4930 with an Illinois number and my PPC with a florida number. I have a condo in Florida, so that was the reason for the Fl number. When I went to the store, they made me change my number to an IL number on the PPC. They said that was the only way they could fix the tax and get it away from MO.
I have upgraded to the WM6 rom, so I got all the info from the person so I could program it at home, cause I didn't want them seeing what I did to my PPC. With the new rom, I can't get the phone to go into program mode (##873321#)
Do I need to go back to the old rom? I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks for you help,
Robert

to reprogram i don't think so...I had a custom rom once and had my 6700 reprogrammed with my ESN after doing an ESN swap over the phone earlier that day. The Sprint employee didn't notice or say anything. Only in cases where you need to take in your phone for replacement would you need to flash back to the original rom.

edit: Quite strange your phone won't go into programming mode when it should. In that case I would flash back to stock rom.

Well, I guess I will have to try and find the original rom, and flash it back. I hate that sprint made me change this number to a illinois number....everything was fine the way it was before.
