what is my SyncID ?

I'm trying to buy something for my 6700 and I am being asked the following...

"In order to generate a software key that is unique to your device, we require its sync identifier (or SyncID)."

I have no idea what they are asking for.....

um, not trying to be nosey but what is it you are trying to buy? I understand about the software key and all that. It seems like they are trying to tie in a SN or Reg # to match your hardware or your device so it cannot be given to others. I dont know about the Sync ID BTW. Never been asked for it.

Some developers write unlocks based on owner name used on device

since helmi removed the voice dialer in WM6 for pache, a friend of mine gave me a copy of voice command 1, with the upgrade to 1.5, I figured I would pay the $10 for the 1.6 for the latest and greatest.

ok.. I see my owner information... nothing there that says synchID, and I tried using my owner name, and it wouldn't take it.

Maybe it wants the device ID (name). On the WM6 rom the default is "Apache" if you havn't changed it. You can check in Start->settings->-system->about->device id tab.

I'm guessing that's what it wants and that's why i rejected your username because the Device ID can't have any spaces.
