"That is OK... I imagine you're going to see many/most Apaches appearing on ebay, craigslist, etc being advertised as WM6 before too long.
What is not OK though is someone trying to charge for the ROM itself. Please report that if you see it." I think luv2chill is right. Im sure there will be floods of 6700s hit the auction and discount world soon. I saw one recently in our local paper for sale right at $75.00. It may have been a little beat up, but it is still an Apache.

If you are signing up for a new account or a new line added to your account you should try
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtelecomzone this is a dealer on ebay called telecomzone. when you go to their site just scroll down to the phone you want for the details. I got a brand new mogul from them last month for $100. I had to sign up for a new line. There is a 800 number to call to get pre-approved before you pay for or order anything. They said that you need to have no deposit required and no spending limit for your account in order to qualify. I spoke to Jane. She was very helpful. The only catch is that you have to keep the number with the phone for the first month - no esn swap if you are doing like i did. I used the new line added to my existing account to get a line for my daughter, but wanted the mogul for myself. So I had to wait until this month to do the esn swap for the mogul to my phone number, and swapped her new number to an older phone. |

A clean and clear Apache (from any network) pretty much goes for around $200 in "like-new" condition. Perhaps for the $250 he is including a wall charger, extra battery, phone holster, etc. Who knows...
I'd rather pay the extra $100 to get a phone where I don't have a contract attached to it. Who knows what/where I'll be in 2 years and most providers charge a $200 termination fee PER LINE. Some providers even allow you to buy insurance on the phone you've purchased refurbished for the $5/mo if you call into technical support and you can get a new one if anything goes wrong (typically they make you spend $50 each time though). That has been my experience. |

I bought my PPC 6700 on ebay for $160. It's a refurb, but it has performed great until I did something to mess up my ext rom. It still works like a charm. My brother prefers playing with it than his iphone (ipod with a phone).
